Today’s Major League Baseball trade deadline was decidedly quite active. Well, it was for MLB, in any event. There were a total of 28 players traded with 10 deals being executed. Like I said, this was active for MLB standards.
You may recall, things were a little different in February at the NHL deadline. There were 15 trades that involved 32 players. It was generally regarded as a relatively quiet deadline.
I guess what I am driving at is that if you are interested in roster movement as part of your sports experience, you can’t really do better than hockey and the NHL.
