But The Games Is On

Erik Karlsson Sticks With Ottawa

In one of the first big moves of the offseason (Anders Lindback to the Lightning and the Wild reupping with Josh Harding notwithstanding) the Ottawa Senators have made a move to ensure their all star defenseman Erik Karlsson will be staying in the Canadian capital long term.

Karlsson signed a 7 year, $45.5 million dollar deal with the Senators. Karlsson led all defensemen with 78 points this year, which was a full 25 points higher than his next closest competition. Karlsson is the type of young talent that a team likes to hold on to for the long term, and it appears that the Senators are doing what they have to d. Good got Karlsson and good for Senators fans.
