Champions

The Los Angeles Kings have won their series with the Phoenix Coyotes, becoming the Western Conference Champions, earning the Prince of Wales trophy, though nobody on the roster will touch the trophy. The Stanley Cup is what they are really after, of course.

Dustin Penner scored the overtime winner after a contentious period, in which the officials threatened to make themselves the story after a couple of tough calls on Drew Doughty, as well as a missed delay of game call on the Kings, and a tough knee on knee collision that ended the night for Michal Roszival.

[Update] And here it is, video of Penner’s game winner, as well as the post game hand shake lines, which were contentious.
