But The Games Is On

Rangers-Capitals is All There Is

The New Jersey Devils eliminated the Philadelphia Flyers Tuesday, which places them, the Phoenix Coyotes and the Los Angeles Kings in the semifinals for the Stanley Cup The only series left in round two is the one between the Washington Capitals and New York Rangers. Unless you really enjoy flipping channels, this series has been plenty exciting.

Consider, two games ago, Marian Gaborik won it in the third overtime. Monday night, the Caps were up one, when the Rangers tied it in the final seconds on a Brad Richards power play goal. Less than two minutes later, in overtime, Marc Staal fired one through traffic to win the game and put the Rangers ahead in the series 3-2. You can see that below.

If Game 6 is as good as 4 and 5, then it should be enough to hold us over until the Conference Championship Series.
