Gaborik Shines Versus Old Team

After spending 8 years in St. Paul as the Wild’s best player in their history, Marian Gaborik had a somewhat contentious departure from Minnesota before signing with the New York Rangers in 2009. He has had some issues coming back to Minnesota, not having met the satisfaction of scoring a goal at the Xcel Energy Center since he changed to the Blueshirts. Well, that was until last night, when he was able to light the lamp:

A pass that reached the stick of a forward in position to score, and that forward deftly handled it before putting it in the back of the net. These are two things that the Minnesota hasn’t seen in far too long.
